২০২২ সালের নভেম্বর মাসে বইখানা পড়তে শুরু করি। মূলভাষা জানি না। অতএব, বাংলা ব্যতীত উপায় ছিল না। সম্ভবত একেবারে নিকৃষ্ট অনুবাদটি আমার হাতে পড়ে। এ কারণে লেখকের গদ্য সম্পর্কে আমার মন্তব্য করার সুযোগ নেই। তা-ও বলব, এত তথ্যসমৃদ্ধ বই একবসায় পড়া কঠিন। আমিও পারিনি। উপরন্তু, ভক্তির আধিক্য আছে এমন বই পড়তে গিয়ে মাথা খাটালে পড়ার গতি আরও কমে যায়। এক্ষেত্রেও সেটাই ঘটেছে। দীর্ঘ সময় লেগেছে বইটি শেষ করতে।
